“Allegations against Dorimain range from fraudulent use of SFUO funds under the guise of office cleaning and the catering of the SFUO Leader Action event on April 28, while Rachiq is accused in the report of possibly forging the certification of a “faulty” club called Testing Restaurants UOttawa and claiming funds for personal use.”
Former Gee-Gees David Foucher, and Guillaume Donovan were found not guilty of sexual assault charges dating back to 2014.
According to a media statement released by the Ottawa Police, “the charges relate to incidents involving ten female victims.”
While this caused a mild disturbance on Thursday, buses have since resumed their regular routes.
When professors go on strike, they are required to cease all communication with students. As part-time professors currently make up 50 per cent of all teaching staff at the U of O, this could mean that a large portion of the university’s student body would be out of classes indefinitely, which would put midterm exams and other assessments on hold.
According to the APTPUO’s website, the association’s collective agreement with the U of O expired on Aug. 31, 2016. Since then, the association’s bargaining team has held over 14 meetings with the university, however both parties have been unable to come to an agreement.
