I asked myself, “How can I help both Bieber and anyone else from making such a grave fashion faux pas in the future?” With that in mind, I present to you my top ways to not look like a tool in front of the prime minister:

Smith, who organized and spoke at the conference, talked about how he began his career with medical marijuana when he witnessed how marijuana helped people with AIDS in the mid-1990s.

Uniting might seem like a good idea to many—in the last federal election the three left-wing parties amounted to 53.45 per cent of the voters, and together occupy 138 seats in the House—but is it really? The Wildrose Party started in order to oppose the PC and offer the people of Alberta a choice that is more right-wing than the centre-right PCs.

The SFUO, who is in charge of the health plan at the U of O, reported that $119,049 in antidepressants were claimed through the health plan in 2011. This represents 12.7 per cent of all claims through the health plan for that year. That is up from the $84,300, or 12.2 per cent, in antidepressants claimed between September 2010 and June 2011—a $34,749 increase in claims, but only a 0.5 per cent increase.

For me, using commas, periods, and proper capitalization is a must when sending a text, and the same goes for anyone who wants to date me.

“I think that the best quality of our system is the impartiality of the judiciary. That’s the main reason we have such a [strong] democracy, and that’s why it is so important that we fight for the independence of the judiciary.” —Justice Richard Wagner

“We are looking at the possibility of opening up a satellite campus somewhere … which would enable us to provide French-language instruction to that growing population [of francophones in the region],” said Allan Rock.

The bouncer appeared to deny entry to a group of black people, allegedly saying he had an order to refuse any black people who were not regulars at the bar, as can be seen on a cellphone video of the altercation posted on Facebook.

The march—dubbed the Toxic Trick or Treat—was organized by the PowerShift conference that was held from Oct. 26—29 at the University of Ottawa and brought together over 1,000 students from across the country.

I wanted to know why our prime minister was so intent on destroying a list of the names of people in this country who are in possession of a firearm. It’s not unreasonable to want to know who owns a gun.

On Oct. 10, the Ottawa city council voted in favour of a motion to allow the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) to seek private-sector funding for a casino in the nation’s capital.

The University of Ottawa will play host to students from around the country for a four-day conference that promises to, according to its website “build an environmental and climate justice movement that can transform our society, so that our future can be enjoyed by everyone, not only those who can afford it.”

Wait times for most major surgeries average over a year in many provinces, although the interprovincial variation is significant (with some of the shortest wait times on the west coast, and the longest in Quebec).

Walking around campus this year, you might notice there are a lot of new options for where to eat. Bento Sushi moved out of the university centre (UCU) cafeteria and is now where the Upper Crust used to be, there is a new food truck under the Thompson- Fauteux overpass and the Faculty of Social Sciences building will soon be getting a bakery.
