The University of Ottawa is working towards becoming a completely smoke-free campus to promote a healthier environment for students. The discussion surrounding a potential smoke free campus started as a result of two main initiatives: a student survey conducted this past spring and rapidly approaching changes in Ontario legislation.
The site has the safety of users in mind, and Wright says that one feature that does this is that it allows users to inject more than once per sitting. Wright refers to this as a “taste,” where users can safely assess what they are taking in, and decide how to proceed in order to prevent an accidental overdose.
Fennell started the game out strong, answering several of the first questions correctly, but ended up placing third. However, he says that it was a positive experience with a unique U of O connection.
The University of Ottawa has recently seen a significant rise in international student enrolment, specifically within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Kelly was recognized for her local volunteer work with foster children in the Ottawa community and her international volunteer work in Uganda this past April.
The current projects, led by the U of O’s facilities team, are set to improve learning, teaching, and research at the university.
