U of O prof explores freight on transit’s effect on greenhouse gases

Ozturk’s recent study, “An optimization model for freight transport using urban rail transit,” published in the European Journal of Operations Research examines how freight on transit (FOT), the practice of transporting freights using the public transit network, could be optimized in countries in order to eliminate greenhouse gases.

Ontario universities propose senior executive pay raise

In response to the University of Ottawa's proposed plan, which included a salary increase of over $150,000 for its senior executives, the Support Staff of the University of Ottawa (SSUO), is “vehemently opposed to the proposals in the program,” according to a March 7 statement.
