The club was founded in 2012 to get students and youth involved in Parks Canada programs and raise awareness of Canada’s many national parks and heritage sites. It aims to provide students with a range of opportunities to experience and connect with the country’s unique history.
This summer the Canadian government is offering free national park passes in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary. So lace up your boots, pack some sunscreen, and forget your phone, because this summer you can see the Great White North like you never have before.
There is something truly wonderful about enjoying the rain instead of worrying about whether or not my assorted electronics will get ruined. I also feel a sense of freedom when I go exploring and see things through two original lenses—my eyes—instead of an Instagram filter.
