If you are interested in making a difference by volunteering, the Fulcrum is always looking for new faces and talented individuals to contribute! Whether you are an aspiring writer, a budding artist, or interested in finding our mistakes, there are opportunities for students in every year and program. And, while there are always new challenges and exciting opportunities for our volunteers, there is no obligation to contribute every week.
Stop by our office (631 King Edward Ave.) Thursdays at 1 p.m. for our weekly volunteer meeting and meet fellow writers and artists as well as the Fulcrum‘s editors. At these meetings you’ll hear about all the stories and assignments up for grabs for the next issue. You can write about almost anything you like—be that sports, news, arts & culture, or features, opinion, and exclusive online content. Don’t have much experience? That’s ok! Everyone is welcome, and we’re happy to work with our writers and artists to craft great content for the University of Ottawa’s English-language student newspaper.
If you’d like to help us catch our mistakes, come by the offices on Tuesday nights to help proofread the paper before it goes to print. If you have any questions regarding volunteer opportunities, email our volunteer and visibility co-ordinator Michelle Ferguson at email@example.com for more information.
