U of O students show off their new threads during their first week back on campus
The women’s basketball team entered the Nov. 22–23 weekend games as the second highest-scoring team in the nation and, along with the men’s team leading the league, the Gee-Gees certainly earned their “U of Offence” moniker.
Barr came from ska and Gilmour from punk, as just two examples, adding an element to the music that allows them to sound different than your typical soul band.
This weekend served as a microcosm of the Gees’ uneven 2016-17 season. They lost to last-place UQAM for the second time this season, but came out on top against first-place Montréal for the second time this season.
