Réal Paiement, former head coach of the University of Ottawa men’s hockey team, has a new job coaching in France.

Paiement has signed on with the Ducs d’Angers for the next two seasons, according to the team’s website.

The men’s hockey team was suspended in June after members of the team were accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Thunder Bay the weekend of Feb. 2.

Paiement was relieved of his duties following an internal review by the university. The review found that Paiement was aware of the assault but chose to deal with it himself instead of informing authorities.

Thunder Bay police charged David Foucher and Guillaume Donovan with sexual assault following a six-month investigation.
