Members are at the foundation of the Fulcrum Publishing Society (FPS). They can attend and vote at annual and special meetings of members, elect the Board of Directors, and participate actively in the corporation’s governance.
The following individuals are eligible to become members of the FPS:
a. any individual who is a student at the University of Ottawa, with the exception of a student who is a member of the UOSU or GSAED executive, for a period of twelve (12) months after their last payment of student and ancillary fees to the University of Ottawa;
b. any person who has been elected or appointed to the Board of the corporation for the duration of their term on the Board;
c. any person who is an employee of the corporation for the duration of their employment with the corporation;
d. any Staff Member for a period of twelve (12) months after their appointment.
To become a member, an eligible individual must register using the official form.
A membership lasts from the date of registration until the following October 31, at which point it can be renewed for another year. Reminders will be sent to all current members to renew their membership on a yearly basis.
