Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (or Meeting of Members) of The Fulcrum Publishing Society is held during the winter term each year. At every AGM, in addition to any other business that may be transacted, the general report of the Board of Directors, general report of the Editor-in-Chief, audited financial statements from the last full fiscal year, budget for the next fiscal year, and amendments to the Bylaws are presented. The Board of Directors for the upcoming publishing year is elected. 

All members of the Corporation – undergraduate and graduate students of the University of Ottawa – are eligible to attend, and those who are not members of the executives of the University of Ottawa Student Union (UOSU) or The Graduate Student’s Association des étudiant.es diplômé.es (GSAED) may vote or proxy their vote. Voting members have the right to submit motions to present at a Meeting of Members provided that the motion is first approved by the Board of Directors at a Board meeting.

The 2023 Meeting of Members will be on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm EST on Zoom. All are welcome to register and attend. Members unable to attend this meeting in person may proxy their vote. No voting member is permitted to hold more than two (2) proxies at any given time.
