OC Transpo will be stopping service to the University of Ottawa’s Campus Station on April 24, while exams don’t wrap up until April 27. The service changes are due to the city of Ottawa’s planned construction on the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system, which is expected to be finished in May 2018.

According to the OC Transpo website, buses will continue to stop near campus at Laurier station and all stops on King Edward Avenue.

According to the U of O’s Gazette, OC Transpo staff visited over 500 classrooms April 4–8. The university sent out emails to staff and students during this time as well. OC Transpo staff will also be boarding buses between April 24 and 27 to let students know the buses will not stop at Campus Station.

On April 24, the transitway between Laurier and Lees stations will be closed, with most routes taking Nicholas Street instead, which could result in longer transit times. According to the U of O’s Facilities site, the pedestrian tunnel below the transitway will also be closing “during the summer 2016” until August 31.
