DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS THURSDAY MARCH 15 AT 11:59PM

The University of Ottawa Students’ Union (UOSU) is officially set to host their Winter General Assembly (WGA) on Sunday, March 15 at 10 a.m.

As per usual, the meeting will take place in the Alumni Auditorium, which can be found on the basement level of the Jock-Turcot University Centre across from the UOSU basement offices and the campus store.

Students can access the upcoming agenda on UOSU’s website now. The period for members to submit motions is now closed, and while the current agenda only has two motions, the duration of the assembly is never guaranteed to be short.

The good news is that UOSU’s WGA tends to run shorter than their autumn counterpart, which ran just over 9 hours last semester

Other than member motions, students can look forward to the ratifications of presidential and Board of Directors (BOD) election results which are pending, as well as the official ratification of the Indigenous Students Association’s (ISA) Director of Indigenous Students, Kim Mantha, who has been serving as director since the 2025 fall semester.

The WGA provides an opportunity for students to make their voice heard, better understand what UOSU is up to, and weigh in on possible motions.

Students who wish to attend or appoint a proxy must register online beforehand. The deadline for registration is Thursday, March 12 at 11:59 p.m. The assembly is also hybrid, so students who cannot attend in-person, can opt to attend online.

The Fulcrum will be in attendance, and students can stay up to date by following our live updates on X (Formerly Twitter) and Instagram
