The Fulcrum spoke with Adante Carter (Aaron Samuels) ahead of the cast’s arrival in Ottawa.
Aneen Nicholas explained that Unity for Action is a philanthropic club that picks a different charity every year to donate to. The musical is an annual tradition and the club’s biggest fundraiser.
In this cabaret-style production, called Miscast, male performers were called on to belt out their favourite female-centric broadway tunes, while the females sang their favourite male songs.
The University of Ottawa’s Musical Theatre Society (UOMTS) will be performing the Broadway production, Hands on a Hardbody on Jan. 29. And no, it has nothing to do with the type of hard body you’re thinking of.
