Students seem not willing to run for positions with the UOSU — as they struggle to fill all of their vacant positions. While maintaining the idea of being a student democracy, many positions run unopposed, meaning whoever runs, wins leaving gaps in the democracy.
The University of Ottawa Students’ Union (UOSU) held its first online Fall General Assembly (FGA) on Thursday night over Zoom. The event was originally planned to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. but lasted over seven hours ending at 2 a.m.
