Eight students were also elected to the union’s Board of Directors, and the referendum to increase funding for the Office of the Ombudsperson failed to pass.

Reading Time: 8 minutes In its ninth annual report for the 2018-19 academic year, the University of Ottawa’s Office of the Ombudsperson offered a number of recommendations to improve how specific issues or concerns are resolved on campus, including clear communication for parties involved in sexual violence cases and creating a resource roadmap for all students.

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Office of the Ombudsperson is looking to increase its student levy in the upcoming University of Ottawa Students’ Union general elections through a referendum. If passed, semesterly fees for the ombudsperson would increase from $1.06 to $1.50 for both full-time and part-time undergraduate students.
