The USports women’s rugby championships came to an end on Sunday with both the bronze and gold medal games taking place in the afternoon. The Gee-Gees and Rouge et Or both triumphed in close and exciting games.

Day 1 of the women’s rugby 2019 USports National Championships consisted of four exciting quarterfinal matchups. The winners of these games will look to keep their momentum going as they head to the semi-finals, with hopes of earning the national championship title on Sunday.
Despite terrible weather conditions, the University of Ottawa women’s rugby team national championship homecoming was a success. The Gee-Gees delivered a strong performance in front of the Ottawa faithfull defeating the Calgary Dinos 18-7.
