“Membership has been focused on faculty members since the issues to be looked at have direct impacts on the work being conducted by our professors and researchers,” wrote U of O manager of media relations, Isabelle Mailloux-Pulkinghorn in an email to the Fulcrum.
“We are still in the preliminary phases but clearly it raises many legal issues and legal challenges. It doesn’t look as if it is a dominant hypothesis right now, but the conversation is going on and the studies are being conducted,” said the U of O’s president.
“As others are discovering indie music, I’m discovering PG-13 punk.”
The course, which will be offered in the spring semester, will be named SCS 4100: Anti-racist Activism in University Settings. It will take place from May 3 to June 12, 2021, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
