In their second showing of the year, the U of O women’s rugby team fell to Laval in a low-scoring game. This is their first meeting of the season, and the team will travel to Quebec city in search of revenge in just a few days.
Despite terrible weather conditions, the University of Ottawa women’s rugby team national championship homecoming was a success. The Gee-Gees delivered a strong performance in front of the Ottawa faithfull defeating the Calgary Dinos 18-7.
The Gee-Gees rugby team won their sixth straight RSEQ championship upsetting the No. 1 nationally-ranked Laval University Rouge et Or. However, the goal for the rugby team remains to win the national championship on home turf this weekend.
