The Ottawa Gee-Gees football team’s 2024 season closed in a tight 26-15 contest to the Guelph Gryphons in the OUA quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon in Guelph.
Despite a disappointing start to the game, the Gee-Gees are still one of the stronger teams in the country. Unfortunately, with the difficulty of their schedule, the team just couldn’t pull off a win.
Entering the game with a 2-0 record and sitting at number eight in the Ontario University Athletic (OUA) standings, the Gee-Gees had a disappointing game against the number seven Guelph Gryphons in Ottawa on Sept. 13.
The Gee-Gees spurred their hooves against Queen’s, Guelph, Waterloo, and Western on Nov. 16–17 in the Stratten divisional championship in Guelph. Although they only ranked third overall, their performance was exceptionally strong.
