On Sept. 28, the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) released its first mobile app for students at the University of Ottawa, with the purpose of connecting individual students to the larger U of O community.

The nation’s Capital has witnessed the many changes that have accompanied the art form first-hand. But what exactly does Ottawa’s tattoo scene look like today, and how does it reflect evolving attitudes towards body art?

A safe, introductory health-care service, where users have the freedom to explore their options without fear of being charged, is desperately needed in Ottawa. By allowing addicts to use drugs in a space where they are surrounded by health-care professionals and treatment pamphlets, seeking addiction treatment becomes a step that’s much less dramatic and scary.

“On the post-secondary side there’s money for research, there’s money for infrastructure, and there’s a commitment, which I think could be really important to try and set up the 2017 budget on an innovation agenda,” he said. “You cannot build an innovation agenda without being connected to places of higher learning like the University of Ottawa,” he said.
