On April 27, 2024, University of Ottawa clubs Integrity Not Spite Against Falastin (INSAF) and the Palestinian Student Association (PSA) announced plans for a sit-in protest on Tabaret Lawn starting Monday, April 29 from 12-9 p.m.
Whether you’re an international student or a domestic student, whether you come from a rich family or a poor family, whether you receive OSAP or know someone who does, we can, by simply showing up, send a message all the way to Queen’s Park.
“It’s (an opportunity) to welcome all international students from all over the world and it’s a chance for Canadians to meet international students as well and mingle and learn about different cultures,” explained Natalie Morris, a representative from U of O’s International Office.
“We’re thinking of just not showing up to classes for a few weeks from December to January. That should show them.”
