On Nov. 12, a clear majority of those in attendance for the University of Ottawa Students’ Union Fall General Assembly voted to give the Indigenous Law Student’s Association the right to become a recognized student government.
“The university is aware of the petition and is looking into the matter,” says U of O manager of media relations, Isabelle Mailloux-Pulkinghorn.
“In our view, despite our best efforts, online learning is not quite where it needs to be, in terms of quality, access to resources and delivery of course content,” reads an open letter from the UOSU to provost and vice-president of academic affairs Jill Scott.
