Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker

Advanced Basics | Coalition Music

Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker (USS), known for hits “This Is the Best” and “Yin Yang,” released Advanced Basics on Feb. 11 and this album holds even better tracks. The band stays true to their rock, electronic, and pop feel, with insightful lyrics to go along with the catchy beats. Songs the band has put out previously are definitely more rock-alternative, however they went very futuristic-electronic on this album and it still turned out great.

If you’re someone who has only heard their hits, this album will prove the band has more depth than solely being about fraternizing and having a good time. Songs like “Shipwreck” and “Nepal” show their more emotional and political sides, making this album a great listen regardless of the mood you’re in.

If you’re looking for something new and edgy, I would definitely recommend this band.  If there’s one bad thing about this album, it’s that with only seven tracks, there aren’t enough songs on it.
