This summer I’m saying fuck it to slaving away and missing all the fun. If I want to take the full 12 days of Bluesfest off, I’m doin’ it.

IT’S A QUESTION that never seems to get answered: Who should have the right to bear arms? The question is hotly contested on a near-nightly basis by some of the big-name newsmakers in the United States, but many Canadians have weighed in on the topic as well. Here, two writers with very different opinions share their thoughts on the right to bear arms.

“Just the discussion that a man can be sexually abused—that was never talked about in school, that’s something that never came up. The men were the abusers. And we know that’s the case most often, but the role of man as ‘victim’ is not something that’s ever talked about,” he explained.

I’ve eaten like a vegan, tried the slow-carb diet, and spent a few months incorporating key “superfoods” into my diet. The latest fad I’m following? Switching to organic.

Cindy Gallop gave the Fulcrum the lowdown on her experiences as an entrepreneur, her thoughts on porn, and how you can make 2.5 million bucks doing what (or who) you love.

“Ideally, I’d have a PhD, I’d be a professor, my research would be fantastic, it wouldn’t suffer; but I’d also be able to have a family. I’d be married, I’d have children, and somehow my career wouldn’t have to take a hit because I took time off to have a kid—but my family also wouldn’t suffer after I go back to work after giving birth,” she said. “I wonder if it’s really possible to have all of those things.”

CLASSES ARE OVER and as exams start, you have one last chance to bring your grades up to where you want them to be or to at least maintain the average you’ve worked so hard for all semester. The Fulcrum’s got you covered with a guide on how to tackle any type of test thrown your way.
