A Chorus Line, one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history, will run at Ottawa’s Centrepointe Theatre March 4–13. The production, put on by the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society, features a cast and directing team that is nearly half-comprised of University of Ottawa students and alumni.

The main thing Abebe hopes students take away from Compassionate Conversations is a cultivated sense of compassion for others, and the realization that everyone is struggling on some level, whether they express it outwardly or not.

Wednesday’s new inductions included CBC personalities Rick Mercer and Eleanor Wachtel, actress and filmmaker Sarah Polley, singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk and a collection of the country’s most prevalent jurists, scientists, historians, surgeons and more.

Cooking demonstrations were hosted by top Canadian chefs, including Lynn Crawford and Michael Blackie. Renowned food vendors such as Meatings BBQ Catering, OCCO Kitchen and The Works served up bacon-centric treats from special menus made just for the festival. Meatings bacon-filled menu featured a bacon donut with whiskey maple syrup, and a grilled peanut butter and jam sandwich stuffed with maple bacon.
