Gee-Gees Football

The Gee-Gees football team opened up their season last Sunday against McMaster in Hamilton. The Gee-Gees played a good first half but struggled multiple times with costly interceptions and late quarter drives against a strong offensive Marauders team

“I think we’ve got to have a bit of a refresher every few months to say: ‘Hey, if anybody’s taking any medications, you better let us know.’ So we’re going to have to have a system to check in.” —Sue Hylland, U of O director of Sports Services.

The board is set, and the number-two ranked University of Ottawa Gee-Gees will face off against the number-three ranked Guelph Gryphons on Nov. 3 at home for the second round of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs.

It was a quick turnaround for the U of O, having just played their last game five days prior, but this didn’t seem too daunting, as they rolled on to a fifth straight win over the U of T.
