To everyone who has supported us through each transition over the years, thank you for believing in student journalism.

In addition to the cool acts, H2Ottawa is bringing a new element of refreshing taste to the festival. The U of O based H2Ottawa initiative will be selling reusable aluminium water bottles to attendees. Launched in March of this year, H2Ottawa’s goal is to educate the public about the issues related to access to clean water and the issues with plastic water bottles.

It appears that students are already buzzing with excitement following the implementation of fossil fuels around the U of O. Travanna Sawde, a fifth-year student at the Telfer School of Management told the Tomato, “With all these lights on, I’m finally able to find more study spaces around campus!”

Each GA since its institution in Nov. 2014 had failed to meet quorum, save for the latest assembly on March 14, where over 280 students filled Marion Auditorium, many of whom were in opposition to a motion passed by the Board of Administration (BOA) to raise the executives’ salaries by 18 per cent, or $6,200.

When professors go on strike, they are required to cease all communication with students. As part-time professors currently make up 50 per cent of all teaching staff at the U of O, this could mean that a large portion of the university’s student body would be out of classes indefinitely, which would put midterm exams and other assessments on hold.

According to the APTPUO’s website, the association’s collective agreement with the U of O expired on Aug. 31, 2016. Since then, the association’s bargaining team has held over 14 meetings with the university, however both parties have been unable to come to an agreement.

According to LeSwank, funding for season three of the show came from profits from the recent Everybody Hates Everybody (EHE) Festival. The festival featured a controversial “pay to play” policy, where the SFUO selected artists to perform based on how many tickets they could sell.
