The women’s basketball team rose to second in the OUA East standings, following a 71-57 win against the Laurentian Voyageurs.

The Gee-Gees women’s basketball team started the postseason with a 78-39 victory over Laurentian. Brigitte Lefebvre-Okankwu had a dominant game, putting up 23 points on her senior night.

After a two-win weekend at home against Queen’s and RMC, the men’s hockey team took to the road for a two-game trip to Northern Ontario, taking on the Nipissing Lakers on Friday, Nov. 9, and the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday, Nov. 10.
In their first-ever regular season weekend at Gee-Gees Field, the University of Ottawa women’s soccer team added both a win and a loss to the record books on Sept. 15 and 16, respectively.

In their first regular season matchups, the Gee-Gees looked strong as they came away with one draw and one blowout win against Nipissing and Laurentian, on Aug. 25 and 26, respectively.
The Gees took the first step towards a national title on Saturday, Feb. 25 when they faced off against the Laurentian Voyageurs in the OUA quarterfinal.
After back-to-back victories against Lakehead University, the Gees came out and played a solid 60 minutes against a struggling Laurentian team to propel their record in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference to 11–7–3.

The Gee-Gees men’s basketball team saw their winning streak stretch to nine games as they won both their weekend match-ups.
Throughout the weekend of Nov. 25–26 the nationally fourth-ranked University of Ottawa men’s basketball team faced off against two of their north division rivals in the Laurentian Voyageurs and the Nipissing Lakers.
At this point in the year, veterans like Soriano and Besselink are doing their very best to guarantee success for the Gees in the regular season.
