After topping the Laurentian Voyageurs 97-72 on Friday, the University of Ottawa women’s basketball team was back on the court Saturday night to take on the Nipissing Lakers.
The University of Ottawa men’s basketball team dropped their first game back from the break to the Laurentian Voyageurs 78-65 on Friday. The next night, the Gee-Gees were in North Bay to tip-off against the Nipissing Lakers.
The Gee-Gees have won the FISU World Cup! The women’s soccer team beat Brazil’s Paulista University in the finals to bring back gold to Ottawa.

To end the calendar year, the team sits first place in the OUA East with a record of 9-1.
On Nov. 16, the University of Ottawa’s Minto Sports Complex hosted the Carleton Ravens in the first women’s Colonel By Classic.
Yet another U of O team is moving on in playoff action. This time, it’s the women’s soccer squad following their Oct. 28 quarterfinal victory versus the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
