Grills previously served as the interim head coach of the team following Yanick Evola’s sudden departure in November hours before a game against the University of Montreal Carabins

The Gee-Gees fought through the playoffs, playing in a historic Queen’s Cup game before heading to Halifax for the USports national championship tournament. Unfortunately, the Gees were unable to hit the ice due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
