Keep up with the Gee-Gees during the Sept. 21 to 23 weekend with the Fulcrum’s Highlight Reel. This week we have two women’s soccer games, a men’s football game and a women’s rugby game.
The Gee-Gee women’s soccer team brought the heat to the pitch Sept. 15 against the Trent University Excalibur. A crowd of almost 200 was there to support the team during an 11–0 blowout.
“It’s really exciting, we’re finally getting the coaching that we wanted and it is helping a lot,” said Patrinos. “We’re coming together as a team. Once we connect and think more, we’ll be doing much better.”
At the home opener this past Sept. 6, the stands were packed with Gee-Gees fans and the men were ready to play.
This is the Gee-Gees’ second win this season, with a prior victory against the Waterloo Warriors.

THE U OF O women’s hockey team has ended their season in the first round of playoffs, losing two consecutive games to the Université de Montréal Carabins in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) semi-finals.

The University of Ottawa Gee-Gees men’s hockey team suffered two losses this weekend against the York University Lions (4-3) on Saturday, Nov. 3, and then against the University of Guelph Gryphons (4-3) on Sunday, Nov. 4.
“I thought we controlled the match,” said Woods. “Guelph played well and did good things against us and were trying some things, but we took away their favourite things.”
While the Gees solidified their reputation as the Canadian team to beat—heading into the playoffs by continuing their undefeated streak—they had to settle for a 0-0 tie against a determined Kingston squad.
On Oct. 13, the U of O men’s hockey team schooled the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières Patriotes (UQTR) in front of a packed crowd on their home ice.
